The Commons Climbing Gym offers Boise’s only full service climbing gym with 63 anchors of 45 foot tall roped walls, bouldering, yoga, training, classes, fitness area, and a warm and a welcoming environment.
Eight different owners have been working since 2018 on this dream to fill the void left behind when Urban Ascent closed its doors only to close them again due to COVID. They were able to open back up in June, so we headed over for a visit and to see how everything was going.
With over 12,000 square feet of sport climbing, three cracks ranging in size from fingers to offwidth, and over 2,500 square feet of bouldering terrain on 13.5 foot tall walls, we held true to The Commons motto of being “climber built and community driven” in the design and installation process.
