Alaska Rock Gym has been in operation since 1995, providing indoor climbing to the Anchorage community for more than 20 years.In 2016 we helped update and expand the gym to fit the climbing community’s needs. The upgrade included a brand new 24,000 square foot facility with nearly 20,000 square feet of climbing. The previous location held just 7,000 square feet.
The facility features 78 rope lines on 46 ft tall climbing walls, an entire floor of bouldering terrain, including a freestanding boulder -- topping out 15 feet, custom crack features, a speed climbing wall and a dedicated group / instructional space.
